Actor Lee of Oscar-winning 'Parasite' found dead amid drugs probe.

Lee Sun-Kyun, a South Korean actor who drew global attention in the Oscar-winning film "Parasite", was found dead.

Lee, 48, was the first Korean actor to win an Oscar.

Lee was found in a car at a park in Seoul after his manager told police the actor had left home.

He Left a Suicide note as per the police official.

A dark-comedy thriller directed by Bong Joon-ho, “Parasite” won the Academy Award in 2020.

Lee Sun-kyun had been under police investigation over his alleged use of marijuana and other psychoactive drugs.

South Korea has extremely tough laws on illegal drugs.

The actor was being dropped from television and commercial projects following the scandal.

A graduate of South Korea's prestigious Korea National University of Arts, Lee made his acting debut in 2001 in a television sitcom titled "Lovers".

He is survived by his wife and actress Jeon Hye-jin and two sons.
