Morning Session – Physics, Chemistry, Computer and learning, Information and Data Sciences, and Msc (Wildlife Biology and Conservation) : 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon Session – Biology (JGEEBILS) : 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mathematics and Science Education – 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Graduate School
The academic year starts from August 1, 2024.
Stipend – PhD students : Monthly fellowship of Rs. 31,000 (+ hostel accommodation or HRA as applicable), enhanced to Rs. 35,000 after registration for PhD.
I-PhD Students : Monthly fellowship of Rs 21,000 (+ hostel accommodation or HRA as applicable) for the first year. Upon satisfactory performance, the monthly fellowship is enhanced to Rs. 31,000 from the second year and to Rs. 35,000 after registration for PhD. These amounts are expected to be enhanced in due course and the information will be updated in the website.

Apply online at https://www.tifr.res.in/academics
When candidates register for any test, the application screen will give the option of that test’s score also being considered for admission to additional eligible programs. Please check the “Eligibility Table” on the website.
Candidates may also appear for GS-2024 tests in multiple subjects provided the timings do not clash. Please submit separate applications and pay the application fee for each test. If candidate appear for two subject tests that are eligible for a particular program, their best score will be considered.
Alternatively, scores from other exams e.g, GATE/JEST/or JRF qualifications from CSIR/DBT/ICMR/UGC/DBT may also be considered by individual programs. If such candidates also appear for the GS-2024 test, their best score will be considered.

Female Applicant – Rs. 500/-
Payment can be made only by net-banking, credit/debit cards, UPI and other methods listed on the payment gateway. Upon successful payment, Hall tickets will be made available for download from 1st December 2023.
